Meet the SciComm Team

Gisela A. Morán , Ph.D.,  she/her

Science Comunication Coordinator

Gisela is a researcher at Instituto de Diversidad y Ecología Animal (IDEA-CONICET) in Córdoba University, Argentina. She explores geospatial and temporal patterns of stressors associated with anthropogenic climate change in the Antarctic Peninsula and the Argentinean Sea

CoCo SciComm Team interviewed Gisela, our SciComm Cordinator, to get insight into her motivation and purpose for teaching at CoCo Comunidad.

Q: What do you think is your contribution to the Comunidad?

A: I hope to share tools and experiences so that all members of the Communidad can make use of them and this will work as a springboard for everyone to definitely enter the world of Science Communication!

Q: What made you decide to be involved in a program like CoCo Comunidad?

A: I love inclusive projects that try to provide equal opportunities for all, and CoCo Comunidad is a grain of sand to achieve it!

Q: What kind of activities do you enjoy doing outside work?

A: I like to do aerial silk, to be with my pets and to be informed about news and current events.

We esteem Gisela's passion for science communication, her scientific contributions in the field of palaeoclimatology and climate change. Gisela is also the editor in charge of a magazine in Earth Sciences Communication (CICTERRANEA). You can follow Gisela's updates on her Twitter and Instagram.
