Meet the SciComm Consultants 

Mónica A. Gómez, CoCo SciComm Consultant

Mónica A. Gómez, M.Sc.,  she/her

Science Communication Coach

Alejandra is a Ph.D. student at the xx,xx, US, in xx. She explores fossil records to track changes in biodiversity and community composition. 

CoCo SciComm Team interviewed Monica, one of our SciComm Consultants, to get insight into her motivation and purpose for teaching at CoCo. 

Q: What do you enjoy most about working with the team?

A: I enjoy that our CoCo team is creative, cheerful, supportive and collaborative.

Q: What made you decide to be involved in a program like CoCo?

A: This is a novel project that I am confident will reach a diverse community and provide within the program an opportunity not only to learn, but also to establish a network. 

Q: What kind of activities do you enjoy doing outside work? 

A: Yoga, hiking, traveling, reading, and cat sitting.
